In accordance with the MAP, the outreach department has developed an
umbrella program, Opportunities in Genomics Research (OGR). All programs
within OGR are designed to encourage and promote diversity in genomics and
genetics as well as to educate the general public about these fields of
study. OGR is structured as follows:
Students
- Undergraduate
Opportunities in Genomics Research: Undergraduate Scholars Program
An 8-week summer program focused on engaging students in research and intensive academic enhancement/graduate school preparation workshops.

- Post-baccalaureate
Opportunities in Genomic Research: Extensive Study Program
A year-long program designed for recent graduates offering the opportunity for research experience and more mentoring prior to entering a graduate program.
- K-12

Faculty (coming soon!)
- A summer program focused on providing training in genomic sciences to faculty at partnering institutions. Our goal is to foster enthusiasm and offer encouragement to faculty with the hope that they impart the same excitement to their students.
Community Organizations
