Treponema phagedenis F0421 (No 16S rRNA gene available) is a member of the Spirochaetes division of the domain bacteria and has been isolated from the urogenital tract. Bacteria provided by Floyd E. Dewhirst, DDS, PhD, Carolin Cameron, Ph.D. and Jacques Izard, PhD of The Forsyth Institute. Funded by NIDCR. The original isolate was provided by Caroline Cameron, University of Victoria Canada.
