Oral Cavity Isolate

Shuttleworthia satelles (There is no 16S rDNA gene available at this time ) is a member of the Firmicutes division of the domain bacteria and has been isolated from the oral cavity. The sequenced strain was obtained from Floyd E. Dewhirst and Jacques Izard who acquired the sample from the Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH (DSMZ) (DSM# 14600).
