S. cerevisiae strain CLIB382 was isolated from super-attenuated beer prepared in an Irish brewery pre-1952. The strain exists in several stock culture collections. It is in the CBS collection as CBS1782, in the DBVPG collection as DBVPG6175, in the NCYC collection as NCYC361, and in the NRRL collection as NRRL YB4238. The strain also may be obtained from Dr. Justin Fay, Washington University School of Medicine.
