Kingella oralis (GenBank Accession Number for 16S rDNA gene: L06164) is a member of the Proteobacteria division of the domain bacteria and has been isolated from the oral cavity. The sequenced strain, ATCC# 51147, was obtained from Floyd E. Dewhirst and Jacques Izard.
