Eubacterium dolichum

Gut Isolate

Eubacterium dolichum (GenBank Accession Number for 16S rDNA gene: L34682) belongs to the Firmicutes division and the class Mollicutes, a major bacterial lineage found in the distal human gut microbiota that has no previously sequenced representatives originating from the gut. This strain, isolated from a human fecal sample, was obtained from Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH (DSMZ) (DSM# 3991).This is from the HGMI project.
