Gut Isolate

Edwardsiella tarda (GenBank Accession Number for 16S rDNA gene: EU259317*) is a member of the Proteobacteria division of the domain bacteria and has been isolated from human feces. The sequenced strain was obtained from ATCC (ATCC# 23685). This is from the HGMI project.

* The available GenBank Accession Number is for the 16S rDNA gene of a related strain of Edwardsiella tarda, not the sequenced strain.
