Transcriptomes Group

The Transcriptomes Group works on various aspects of sequencing and analysis of transcriptomes, based on next-generation sequencing of RNA (“RNA-seq”). We have weekly discussions that center on the development of RNA-seq methods, on production-scale LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and analysis tools to help establish when a transcriptome has been sequenced to sufficient depth that it can be analyzed, and on the conceptual and practical aspects of those bioinformatic analyses.
